Haha yes! I always love a good crash when its not my plane too! Worst one in my memory was a friend flying a brand new bi-plane for the first time...he started way high and put it in a vertical dive and something malfunctioned with the radio and it wouldn't respond to any control inputs....full throttle straight into the pavement....it looked like a bomb went off in a balsa factory...nothing left but tooth picks. Poor guy almost cried, but it sure was awesome to watch lol

The same thing happened to the guy I worked with. He still gets upset to this day when someone brings it up, hehe.

I know this is an old thread but figured I’d ad my rides to it anyway.
My DD: a 91’ Subaru Loyale 5 speed, completely rebuilt about a year ago, this is our go anywhere traveling/camping rig, it’s got push button 4 wheel drive on the fly, it’s been modified somewhat with an electric cooling fan conversion, reground cams called “torque cams” gives it the little extra added oomph for trailer pulling, it’s also got a high amp output alternator conversion to run my ham radio gear, and the upgraded 80 watt/100 watt Flosser rally headlights, This is a fun car on the cheap, 32 miles to the gallon on the highway, cheap and easy to work on, and parts are plentiful.

Here we are on one of our little off road adventures.

My car next to by buddies’ truck, I used to drive one of these for a living:

The spare: and the only picture I have of my girlfriends celica with an auto transmission, the Celica is the black car in the back ground behind the tree, that’s my girlfriends DD, 238,000 miles on it and still going strong.
The car in the forground is our spare, a 92’ Subaru Legacy 5 speed, I got it from a co worker and it was supposed to have a blown transmission, it turned out to be a blown clutch, but we put a new tranny and matching rear end in it anyway, (it’s a full time 4 wheel drive), the cars got 270,000 miles on it but all the running gear is at 150,000 or there abouts. I’ve been working on this car for a few months, it’s going to be the spare, or the loaner for the kids if someones car breaks down, they can drive the Legacy while thoe other car is getting fixed.

Then of course, we have the 78’ K20 I just got, this is number 4 to the fleet, and the reason I joined this forum, it needs a little love, but not much to be road worthy.

Guys guys, The motor is half gone, no intake no heads and whats left of the block is a boat anchor. The interior was stripped out years ago. Most of the dash is gone no gauges no glove compartment door. The floors are rusted out.
I know how you feel I would not cut up something of great value either! This thing sat in the junkyard for 29 years. I feel lucky to have gotten it out when I did.

Jack 'er up!!! B-)

My DD is a 99 Volvo V70XC...LOL, but it's a great ride. Almost as easy to work on as the pickup. Also have: 97 Town Car 120" Limo...aka Lizzie, 95 Bronco POS up for sale soon, 82 CB750, 96 KDX200, 91 KDX200, 94 WR250, and just bought but haven't transported a 63 Beetle, and 69 Jeepster 1-owner 30k mi. Pics include my dirt-oval unlimited kart, and the limo with our championship bathtub racer in the local parade.

There's other vehicles besides square body Chevys to drive???? Oh my goodness where have I been all my life?

At work I drive a 2005 F650 xtra can rollback with a 21' century bed
Or a 1999 dodge cummins dually pickup. When I piss the dispatcher
Off I get stuck in a 96 dakota pickup that we use for service calls.

In the project barn almost everything is a square except there's a , 1970 F350 wrecker with a Hubbard bed, a 71 C30 wrecker that was used in dukes of hazard reunion movie, and a 65 Oldsmobile delta 88 I ended up with of a scrap job that had been kept in a heated garage all it's life and was last drove in 1992. I'll try and edit or add some pictures tommarow if I get a chance to get some fresh ones
