Aren't those turbocharged too?

I missed your question until now. They made a base model with a V6 and the S model with a 400 hp V8 and a GTS with a Turbo V8, very expensive even used.

Current toy that i picked up just before summer. 1949 Dodge B1-D 1 ton

228 Flathead Inline 6 with 4 on the floor
PTO hoist and lift frame for a dump bed
Currently gathering parts to get a later model starter in it to have a solenoid type starter as well as doing a 12 volt conversion using an older GM 3 wire alt

Kool Dodge. My grandad had a 1 1/2 ton of the same year. It was fitted with a grain bed and seldom out of the barn. Sold with the farm in 1978.

Thanks, This one had a grain bed on it as well at one stage in its life. The plan is to fit it with a simple flat deck but keep the lift system in place.

I like old trucks of any flavor... the dodge is cool.
I have a 42 chevy sedan... the 12 volt conversion was simple... new bulbs... resistor on fuel guage... took the voltage regulator to local shop and had turned up for 12 volt... kept the all original look.
Good luck on the project
