I dunno about too many, but you do have a lot of them... and they are expensive. I used to work with a guy that built a lot of model airplanes, I got so sick of helping him prep all those parts for primer and paint. They turned out really nice though.

Ya thats only a few, I'm at work so I don't have all the pics here to post. But ya the airplanes are the most expensive...I started flying rc when I was 7yrs old, then if that wasn't expensive enough, I got my pilots license when I was 17. The cost of aviation is truly sky high but it is my biggest passion

In a way, both. I tried rc planes and couldnt keep them in the air, I also have thought many times about going to flight school.

Haha I have had my fair share of misshaps with the rc's too so I feel your pain, a split second mistake easily turns into a several hundred dollar "oops!" , usually caused by hotdogging in my case lol
Lucky for me with the real ones I have managed to keep my number of landings equal to my number of take-offs so far and hope to keep it that way ;P
Flight school is a great idea, just make sure you are fully committed and have a true love for the flying. Best to take an introductory flight first, but trust me, once you are hooked and it gets I your blood, its like a drug, you just gotta have more and more! Its pretty unexplainable to feel the responsibility, yet freedom that it brings. I love taking people for their first flight...the look on their face is always priceless and I usually can't wipe the smile off their face, or mine either :D

This was one of my bad days...2 of the 3 were mine. The blue Extra 300L was the result of a stall @ about 10 feet off the ground over pavement. The other 2 were a midair collision with me n my buddy dogfighting trying to cut the yellow survey tape tied on our tails you can see in the pic...about a $1000 day for me

The worst crash I ever saw was when I was a kid. There was these two guys giving us a demonstration, the one guy had a big bi-wing plane. He started showing off and came swooping down along the field, but he got too low and some tall grass snagged the landing gear... that thing instantly started tumbling and airplane parts flung all over the place. It's more amusing when it's not your plane, lol.
