Getting tired of just dreaming of a hood scoop. If anyone’s got good photos of theirs I’d love to see, let’s get this thread filled!

My personal favorite, even though it’s not on a c10 ;(

Ahhh there was a hood but I had to take it off post the smash. :(

It poked about half-way out, almost in line with the screws in the red circles...there is a tiny air filter inside of that scoop....chrome lid and everything! It's got to be about 2" tall and 4" around..1.5 x 4 ?
Next time I mess with it i'll post a pix if you want. No riser or nothin though, it sits ON the carb.

Promise it's just for looks, it really kills the power BIG TIME! Looks hella fast though.
Lol, it's really a stunning difference between a 14x4 K&N. It sure as hell ain't for the TRACK but it's right at home on the STREET.

BUT it looks cool AF :imo:
I straight traded an AIR GAP RPM for it and started running a Weiand 7547, ftw.

I wanted a hood scoop so bad... in the 70's..

I actually (still) like the L-88 Vette scoop on squares.

I had a Harwood on my old truck, it was fun to look at but horrible to see around. I would consider a low cowl hood but I wouldn't do a scoop with any real height again.

The L-88 scoop is probably my favorite too.

Yea I’d love to see how the filters are set up. But you’re saying that going simply from a classic big aircleaner to the scoop kills that much power?
