Or save it for the next Cash for Clunkers. That seemed to destroy many many good vehicles.

Here's an incomplete list of what I have dreamed up in my head for the audio/video in the truck...

1. Head Unit...Pioneer AVH-X7500BT (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130X7500BT/Pioneer-AVH-X7500BT.html?tp=5684)
2. 6.5" components in the doors.
3. JL Audio 10" sub for the back.

With that said I ran across another idea that may allow me to fit a Double Din in the dash.

http://thedetailss.com/95-99_CK_Double_Din__COMPLE.html

While researching last night I ran across that link and I'm intrigued by it! So only time will tell. I've probably got a few months before I make a rock solid decision

According to the wife I received a package from Smurph containing headlights and parking lights :party33:

Yikes, $450 to run a Double Din?? Thinking I could prolly do without DD for that kinda money, OR Fab something myself that could look at least presentable.

Yeah, that's pretty stiff but looks like it's pretty doable and at least presents the idea that it's possible. That's the main reason I'm saving the link so that I can refer back to it and see about doing it myself. Like you said $450 is steep just for that one piece.

No clue, I was just giving you another option. I haven't done that but a dash bezel at my pick an pull is only like $30. I'd give it a shot before paying the $450. Im happy with my single din pioneer though...

Good point :waytogo: Definitely worth a shot with that idea. :) I'm good if I go with a single din as well. This idea just struck me as cool because it's not done often in GMT400. If I do end up going the single din route I'll probably find this (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130X7500BT/Pioneer-AVH-X7500BT.html?tp=20217) for cheap on eBay or Amazon.

Don't get me wrong I'd like a double din to but I promised myself I was focusing on my 78 more an not messing as much with my daily (98). I would like to put one in the wifes 02 Burb along with some screens in the back for the kids but I haven't found a money tree yet lol. It's 1.5 din too though. They didn't go double din till 03, which I didn't know until after I bought it :(

Yeah, about a year ago I put a double din and screens in our '07 burb and the kids love it!! The headrests can be found pretty cheap (roughtly $50-60 a piece) on eBay and Amazon. After using the double din in burb I fell in love with them :nono:

The stupid thing about those head rest screens is they are all leather (or pleather?) ours has cloth interior

Plus it has rear air controls mounted dead center behind the front row where a flip down needs to go. Can't win with that thing...
