Agreed. Just touched a lot of panels lol

After looking at things again when I got home I might be able to just replace the bottom of the door with a patch panel from LMC since I’m having a hard time sourcing a door.

My oldest son had a similar incident last year with his C1500. Last winter he got all cocky and thought he was an expert at driving in the snow. I told him not to drive dumb. An hour later he nailed a light pole and smashed in the front bumper. The truck looks stupid now and I still haven't fixed it for him, lol. I'll eventually put a bumper on it, when I feel he's suffered enough

My wife said last night to leave it like that until it's time for the next kid to drive it. Then freshen it up so they get to start from scratch and when they bang it up just leave it until ti's time for the next one and just make it a rotation like that

Yes on both points. So I'm going to fix it this time. At least to the point of replacement panels in place and in primer. Will probably do a decent job but won't worry about perfection (to @animal's point). But then going forward us my wife's advice and when it' gets cracked up again it'll stay like that for a while with the goal of keeping the truck drivable, at least, and not worry about body damage until it's time for the next kid to take over LOL


It's become evident to me, though, that I need to stockpile some S10 parts OR just acquire a parts truck and find a place to store it.

I live in an HOA so none of that is a possibility I'd have to pay for a storage unit or kick my wife outta her spot in the garage

I have a spare door in clean shape. I'd have to pull it out to see which side it is. If its the correct, I could cut a panel out of it if you wanted. Too big to ship the whole door.
