Bolt the case to the crossmember(s) and get some long bolts (3/8 starter bolts are great). The crossmember will help to sturdy the case and you can use it for leverage when trying to get the case aligned with the transmission. When you get the crossmember a few inches from the frame you can put the longer bolts through the frame and help support the awkward weighted case. I have done this a few times as well as pulling the floor out and using an engine hoist to install the trans/case combo. Good luck!

Little confused what holes on the T-case will bolt to the crossmember?
My cross member only bolts to the frame and transmission.

Think the suggestion is bolt the TC to mount then mount to crossmember, then use a jack to lift the assembly up.

The t case doesn't have a mount on my truck it just bolts to the transmission

My trucks are newer. Both are like that, neither have mounts. Was assuming he knew the application. I call a friend and just manhandle them in. They are awkward as heck. Someone probably makes jack adapters but never used one.

How would the TC attach to it? Doubt that would help.

This was my suggestion. I have that jack and it is worth its weight in gold. However, I still had to use pieces of 2x4 blocks to get it high enough and that's on my K20 with 2" lift and 31 inch tires.

My fault. The adapter bolts to the trans on an NP203. NP205 is opposite.
