New to GMSB from Oregon

finally started putted $ and time into my 73' C/K 20 that has been in the family for almost 30 years now. mechanicals are all sorted out now, except a couple of small things and started to replace body parts that were too far gone from rust. fenders from LMC, bed from a 78, doors sitting in boxes awaiting body/paint project. happy to be here and learn from y'all.

@Camar068 - thanks for the tip on searching, simple has been better so far. looking into accessory information about step/nerf bars. the recent 4" lift has created a look I REALLY like, but a challenge for smaller folks to get in/out of the cab and into the bed. lots of interesting posts/feedback from users on this topic for sure.

I like to think outside of the box....

What about a step/side bar that acts as the steps. Push a button OR release something and it swivels/swings out from the rear of truck (like the wings on an F15.....at the same horizontal angle of the door). Then you push another button OR release something and the steps are lowered to the ground.

Unless automated (push button), you would have to help "Mama/Papa/Big'un/Litl'un" in and lift/push it back in place afterwards.

This would probably require the Gas Tank Relocation mod for room for the steps to tuck underneath.

LOL....just a thought that popped in my brain when I read that part. @bucket.....yeh I know....I'm FOS lol.
