oh yea I did work on it more today, removed, tinted and reinstalled the PS window, tinted the back glass, and reinstalled all the weatherstripping.

I need to put on the new rod clips to make all the locks and handles work like they used to, then put the door panels back on.

had to fix my weatherstrip, had to remove the mirrors and tuck it under them, then greased the tracks and crap to make up work better. I also tried to fix the PS door lock which has not worked since I had the truck. Must be a bad latch since it's all hooked up and moves but too much freeplay to work properly. At least now the outer PS handle works again, as well as the inner DS handle. Next up is grease it down good with some white lithium grease and put the door panels back on it.

bought the MC today, bench bled and installed, tried to gravity bleed the brakes, well the backs until it got dark.

I notice my prop valve is leaking out the front, it's trying to get/stay wet, not so much dripping that I know of.

I would bet it's my whole problem anyways, and I would bet I screwed it up by messing with it before, trying to figure out which way it sits to stay open.

If fluid can get out, even just a little bit, then air can get in. That seems to be the last puzzle piece.

yea no doubt.

haven't bled em yet, going to and if it fails, regardless of if it's leaking or not then, a prop valve is going to be on order.

finally hit the road with this thing today, put a few miles on it seemed good. My old man stomped on it once and it died tho LOl. He came to a dead stop(engine still cold) floored it and it just missed and stopped running. Fired right back up and when he got it rolling he held it down, picked up and ran fine no missing.

On another trip around he kicked it down to engage the detent/passing gear, and ran her hard for a bit, done good then too.

Brakes are good now, not much travel, and the radiator didn't seem to leak anything, nothing was wet underneath, so going to let it cool and check the fluid levels.

I had him varify both injectors were spraying the cone pattern at idle and they were good.

I'll soon have it out on the road making trips back and forth, so I'll know more about it then.

been moving in this thing, it's been doing good, around town, highway not so great, anything over say 45 or 50 via the speedo and try to gas it down to speed it she'll back fire like a cough, and go on, and from a dead stop once warmed up and stomp it, she coughs, I adjusted the timing some, still does the same. I have to play with the timing more and try to reset to zero and see what it does, as well as pull a plug and see if it's rich or lean.

My temp. gauge decided to take a poop too so now I have no idea how hot it is running and I hate that.

same thing I thought, more air flow around the injectors, plus having my timing a bit advanced before I'm pretty sure, means more lean LOL.

Be careful there. Advanced Timing, and Running Lean, both are ingredients for running a tad warmer than normal. But, I feel your pain. I've not had a temp guage on the K1500 since I bought it. I just keep watching or steam around the hood, cuz I don't have a heater core hooked up either to feel the heat in the cab.

Nope...the little bit of work you did just made it easier for the engine to inhale what it needs, and thats small beans to the system to compensate for, now, if you were to do anything to change vacuum, Ie; cam...vortec heads, that would send the ecm into convulsions.
Did you ever have the throttle body bushings done! i forgot?
Have you had the manifold off?

no bushings and no manifold off, only thing I did was clean and rebuild the tbi unit, grind off the bore castings and smooth it out, then cleaned the injectors, never touched the dist. from where it was before, but now it does this cough crap.
