I figured this fits in the "Audio" section, lol.
As the subject implies, rumor is I am the most hated guy in my neighborhood currently.
Awhile back I posted about having acquired some train horns from my brother. They are still waiting for their turn to be part of a project and get added to my truck.
However, I was cleaning the garage yesterday and by chance moved them next to my compressor. That's when I saw the light!
The fact that I have a 175 psi compressor, 1/2" hose and a rubber tipped nozzle that fit perfectly inside the NPT fitting.....NO coincidence! And....it's New Years Eve. Yup couldn't pass up that opportunity.
All I can say is....Holy Sh!t that thing is loud!!!
Hopefully the HOA won't exile me.

Ive installed 100s of Air Compressors. Build an insolated box around it, with an air vent to the outside.

Oh man this reminds me of quite a few years ago I was assistant coach on a senior hockey team. We installed a set of these in our local hockey rink. Every time we scored a goal we blew those horns!! They were LOUD!!! lol. Younger fans loved it. Some of the older ones, not so much.

I love em, although years ago when my son was touring colleges, his friend which I knew pretty well decided to give the horns on his tricked out Yukon a blow and within seconds he got a ticket for the local noise ordinance, I talked to him after and he said it was worth it, he scared the sh!t out of everyone around him, I say go for it what the hell we only have one chance on this earth

Glad I don’t really have neighbors that close. My mom has about 15 acres. She said someone in the next parcel over was firing off his canon at midnight and it spooked a bunch of her livestock. Fortunately, only some turkeys and chickens flew the coup.

It may not be for totally whiney reasons that some folks aren’t thrilled with super loud noises near their property.
