It’s axhole, and people should care about their spelling and grammar. However, the grammar police should only make an arrest in cases of egregious violations.

Perry is right. Reading a post with terrible spelling or punctuation gives me a headache. Not that I saw that going on here to a noticeable extent.

Please post some pictures. I am interested in this topic. Did you buy the Jeep shaft or the GM version?
Will do. I bought the GM version from summit. I am almost positive that the steering column had been replaced previously. The original invoice definitely says it has a tilt steering wheel but this one definitely does not tilt. So it may be that when whoever replaced it did the work they put some other model in. I was able to get on the phone with a summit tech and they are sending me a 1 inch round to a 1 inch double D joint. Should be here tomorrow at the same time as the correction bushings for the knuckles so hopefully I am close to getting back on the road. Fingers crossed.

Yes that is an earlier steering column with the spline instead of double D shaft.

What does this do? Make the steering itself sharper? Make the steering response better?

The only other question I have is the number of splines. It looks like the 1 inch only comes in 48 spline so I am hoping that is correct.

That is what I am hoping for. My Burb is on 35s with a 4 inch lift and honestly was really hard to keep in the lane at 65 mph. I will have the crossover steering kit, quick ratio steering box and this steering shaft all installed hopefully this weekend so I’ll let you know if it worked as I hoped.

Good morning. Just a quick update to the above. The new u joint from Summit was delivered on Friday. I was able to install it yesterday and at this point, it all looks good. Pics attached. I am still waiting on the correcting bushings from Offroad Design (it was not their fault UPS delivered it to the wrong location). They are supposed to arrive tomorrow and at that point, I can drill out the knuckles and flip the track bar which will allow me to put the whole thing back together and see if all this worked or if I just made an even bigger mess of this big boy.
