It has a lot of surface rust, so not entirely rust free, but definitely no rot. I do feel fortunate to live here, even if the politics are unbearable.
Let's see, an hour east... that's Dunlap-ish? Fresno here, I have 74 shorted w/ factory 454, and my son has a 74 elco, so I'm not the one to judge if anything is "better for smog purposes" but reach out if you need anything..

edit: oh and I read about the tools you 3d printed and forgot to mention, my son works at a transmission shop here in town, if you ever need any help in that area, or even discounted parts(they have accounts with decent pricing at all the normal places) I'm pretty sure it'd be worth the drive.
You got it. I'm in Squaw Valley. I come into Fresno twice a month for supplies. We should have a meet-up. My trans is holding up well, but it's super old. With the wheeling my nephew likes to do, I might take you up on your offer before I plan to LOL.
