The other option I have used is LT1Swap, Brendan there is quick and good, he's been doing that service for years. It won't be a performance gain generally, but for a stock engine that just needs the toggles switched, and things like rear gear/tire size corrections, it's probably the easiest way to go.
Thank you for the recommendations. I was looking into hp tuners as I am interested in learning how to tune myself but I did see something recently that said you have to take their courses in order to have the ability to remove emissions from the ecm so for now I am going to use Brenden as his pricing is super reasonable.

Life has been pretty busy lately but I have been chipping away at the wiring and putting the little things back together. I did get the new radiator and mounted it up

It's been a while since I've messed with it, but from memory, there's a few sets of instructions floating around out there, and/or you can ask someone who still does it currently, and it shouldn't be that hard to do. Of course, I could imagine in the current legal climate they might have pulled all the threads about emissions bypassing etc., even though almost all users are strictly using those features for off-highway vehicles and therefore not covered by EPA regs. I know I am...

Wow. We got a lot in common. I have an 85 K20. It also wants an LS someday. Prior to the truck I had an 87 elco built as a "pro-touring" car/truck thing. 9 inch ford, 12 inch discs all around, B-body spindles, Hotchkiss A-arms....blah blah blah. I called it the "Mullet". My bananas not bruised :party36: but I assume that comes with age. Keep posting on the project.

Does your transfer case have a VSS? I did a swap on my 1973 4x4 Blazer and I had an issue with the speed sensor. I installed a NP208 transfer case and I needed an electrical speed sensor to talk with the terminator max ECU I installed.
