Damn , I typed your next questions and 28 yrs since I did this on my my '78 and it's gone.
1. Change heads too ?
2. Consider a roller cam setup ?
3.Oil pump too if there is that much wear !
4. Timing chain set condition ?
There is a lot of torque in a 350 sbc1 (per c.i.) when done to it fullest !
I'll stay subscribed I hope, I changed PC operating systems and "computers SUCK most of the time". They work good to control autos but I still don't like them. GREAT to exchange ideas tho" !!

Its been raining a lot and I don't have a close shop so work has been slow but I'm still cleaning up the heads before going any further and doing some organization of parts.
