The THM 200C was the base automatic transmission with the new 4.3L V6 for '85. I'm not sure that the 200R4 was ever offered with the 4.3 in the G-body.

You are correct. I was thinking small block equipped cars.

'79) 350/ granny 4-speed, '86) 350/A833 3-speed with overdrive
I think what you have is a 200-4R, which, IMO, can be quite nice. Before that was the TH200 (?), which didn't have OD.

No it wasn't a 200-R4, It didn't have overdrive just a 3-speed and had Metric stamped in the bottom of the trans pan.

Being a little harsh on basements aren't ya?
I feel bad for the basements on their requirement to house such individuals but someone has got to do it

They sure didn't need the 200-4R since those V6 Elcos and many of the V8's for that matter came with rear gear ratios into the 2.7X and 2.4X range. Grocery Getter tall gear for sure.

Does anyone remember when he made a big deal out of quitting last time? He said nothing was happening on this site and we are all lame so he deleted his avatar picture and hauled himself over to 67-72 where all the action was. Turns out they care even less about his ‘82 NOS beauty than we do so back he came, reloaded the cowboy hat cat and try to get some good “red block” discussions going. If only he could find a place where all his orphan turds could be loved like he loves them...

Lol, looks like mister friendly screwed his buddy:

Dual bolt pattern or not, $500 is highway robbery when they commonly sell for $250 or less.

Broke it right off in his ass didn't he? Damn !!! The deal is, the bell housing isn't rare at all. That same bell housing came in front of the SM465's too. I've seem them for $125-$150 several times. In fact, how I got mine was I bought an SM465 for $100 that came with that bell housing from a guy who did a conversion to NV4500. It was all in good shape and working, and the clutch was included too. Damn, way up in his ass and broke it off. He gave his buddy the Jeffry Dahmer.

In all honesty, I hope @82Diesel finds his elusive tranny.

He could peel $75 off his pile from his bellhousing sale and buy one of the many hundreds that are for sale out there if he were serious about it. I doubt he'll get one but I don't know where the doubt comes from.

My buddy sold his chevy 3.8/th200 combo for 75 bucks I think it was. It was even in working order. Something like 60k on it.
I'm sure you can find broken ones all day long. Find one from a gutless V6 car and it might work.
