You missed my point completely. Value does not matter. My point was, it's not a collectable car and nobody is going to give a rat's ass if it has a non-original transmission under it, even if holes were drilled or the driveshaft length is different. There's no point in seeking out an inferior transmission when you already have a better one that will drive and function EXACTLY like the original transmission. It's not like you are changing the wheels or exhaust or paint color, etc. It will still look, feel and drive like when GM screwed it together... you will just spend less money and have a more dependable car.

I have mention I did run the Body Tag it was repainted, sadly. Not Original Black, it was a Glacier Blue car... but looks factory, So I'm not going to mess with repainting it Nor does it have Original Exhaust...That got taken off awhile ago.

Quite frankly I don't give a single **** what you think or give a rat's as either... I'll do what i please. OBVIOUSLY This Forum isn't Much "Friendly" AT ALL
I shouldn't have even Mentioned this... Smh What JOKE you guys are.

??? Thought you were asking about aquiring a transmission, now this is not a friendly forum? Lighten up Francis, you got a lot of good advice/recommendations here. Good luck in your search for a transmission

Well clearly you don't know what friendly is. I'm sure you get along just fine on other forums because those people are happy to sell you undesirable "rare" parts for outrageous prices. The whole purpose in message forums to begin with is share knowledge and thoughts, and this here just so happens to be a message forum.

Happy trails dude.

Just an FYI: he’s on another forum I’m on and I don’t think they give a **** about his NOS obsession. He trie to make threads about his junk there too, anything seems to be an opportunity to hype his dreams.

I had to go back and read posts from him... I really shook my head when he said Holland, Michigan. #*$!, that is too close for comfort to me.

NCTypoonKid, keep up the good work! I love me my G-bodies. 85 SS in my garage.

Well this escalated quickly
Yes it did. Someone is obviously snowlake triggered. I'll be moving all that part out this thread to keep it about your project from where it got hijacked. It happens sometimes when others have "like" projects then it turns into 2 projects in one thread.

He’s also from somewhere near Detroit if he’s pressed. I think he said like 45 minutes from Inline Tube or something one time and I suggested it was 3 hours from Holland and he kind of went off the rails, like I was trying to find his NOS honey hole or something.

You obviously don't know what friendly is. Someone tells you real truth and nothing but facts of the matter and you want to get triggered and go into defensive snowflake mode??? You won't find a more friendly forum than GMSB. But, we're grown up here, we tolerate other opinions whether we like them or not. We take being corrected when we're wrong like big boys. You know a "REAL FRIEND" would tell you that you have a booger hanging outta your nose instead of let you walk around half the day looking that way, and "REAL FRIEND" would be thankful his friend told him about it so he could fix it. A "REAL FRIEND" wouldn't get defensive, triggered and butt hurt about it.

I think we all know who the real JOKE is. Quite frankly I don't think anyone else would give a single **** if you didn't come back if that's the way you feel about us guys. There's the door right over there, don't let it hit you in the butt hurt.

So if anyone has one of those unreliable, disposable, hard to find because most of them have been scrapped by now Th200 non lock up metric transmissions...., Please contact 82Diesel. He lives somewhere in the USA so he's probably real close to you and come right over and pick it up from you. Thanks for your "friendly" consideration.

I never realized you are from MI. Where abouts are you? I am in Coopersville, in the middle of the Grand Rapids/Muskegon/Holland triangle.

There was another guy on here that lived in the Detroit area and had a cottage in the Holland area. He seemed pretty cool.
