how you got a 6 inch lift then got built 3 inch lift springs?

is is 3 inch blocks then springs or is it 9 inch lift total, 6 inch springs then 3 inch on top of that or rearched 6's somehow?

ok, 3inch blocks on body (body lift )
3 inch lift springs.. I built the spring by taking 2 sets of stock Springs and putting them together she rides a bit rough for a total of 6.. at least I'm guessing it's about six

that's awesome I'm surprised you can clear 39.5's with only 6 inches of lift. I saw a truck with 38.5's boggers and looked like or said it was 6 inch and it looked as if the fender had to be trimmed to clear, where as you have some room to spare, looks awesome. Love the stuffed look.

I ended up trimming the front fenders about 1.5" on front and back of the fenders. It was catching in the turns.

I don't think I have any pics of my Jimmy on here. She needs some help and a little TLC, and an 80 core support, to get rid of the round head lights.

I'd get a hood, a front bumper, take the rest of the trim off, sand it, a little body work, and paint it a solid color and rock with it. Round headlights are fine, although I prefer dual squares myself.

@Mr Clean.. I love the round lights to each there own I guess but if it was my truck I'd rock those to me they just look classic Imho

I'd get a hood, a front bumper, take the rest of the trim off, sand it, a little body work, and paint it a solid color and rock with it. Round headlights are fine, although I prefer dual squares myself.

I think I'm going to get it running again, I miss having a 4X4. I have an 8" lift, I would like to see it on 38's like my 71 Blazer I had when I was in the Marines. It needs a motor, and it has sat for so many years, a trans rebuild, new fenders, hood, bumper (deer took out the one on there) It has some body rot were the cab, and top meet. It was always a fun truck to drive.

Me too Clean. I PREFER the squares, but I'd rock the hell outta that Jimmy. I'd actually prefer keeping it OEM much as possible opposed to changing it to my preferance of square headlights. Know what I mean? Somethings are just worth living with even though its not your preferance.

With that said, them maybe it is best to find a complete front clip, and usually the good front clips are 81 up cuz the 80 and below usually have bad hoods. But there is some work into getting the 81-91 front clip to fit the 73-80 bodies. Ideailly a good used from clip from a 80 older would be best if you can find one. I see front clips in OKC many times for $200-$250 w/ or wo front bumper. Just depends on the week.

I have a front clip from and 86, that I picked up years ago, that's when I found out the new clip won't just bolt up, and I can't find anything on line about how to do it.

Truck i see at the car show this summer

I was at the car show this summer and see this truck roll in, took a vew pics... only running 1/2 ton gear with a big block can't let her loose... but over all a nice truck.
