@Shorty81, Thanks! I love the look too. I agree, looks as it should!

@AuroraGirl, yes, the wheels are powder coated. They come only in black. I agree some OEM caps would look great. We are still sorting through my Dad's estate. I am hoping I stumble across the original caps when we sort through the garage.

Here is the truck with the 16x8 Wheel Vintiques, Toyo Open Country III A/T - 285/75, and Tuff Country 2” lift.

Truck looks great! I’m working through a similar scenario with my 86 K20. Just dropped the lift down to a 2”, tuff country. Looking at 285/75R16s as well, but right now all the 16” wheels I’m looking at are 16x8, 0 offset.
Right now my biggest concern is not so much will it look right, but will it rub. Specifically I am worried about contact at the pitman arm/drag link connection. I bought the truck with its current setup, 315/75R16 and I think 16x10 wheels with -25 offset and right now after the drop it comes up and just kisses the drag link.
My fear is with 8” wide wheels and no offset, even with tires that are a bit narrower, I would contact it even more. Have you had any issues here? Could you confirm the offset on your wheels? Appreciate and advice from your experience.

Just thinking of my truck as an example, i feel 285 would rub based on the width alone, but im not sure what offset stock wheels have.

I’m old so I don’t deal with offsets. I know my current truck and several prior ones had 4.5” of back space on my 16” & 16.5” wheels. They had no issues with rubbing even with a 15/36 radial.

Current K30 has a 16x10 wheel with 4.5” BS and a 305/70R16 (32.8”) tire. Your 285’s are also 32.8” tall.

@ghbubba, I believe these wheels have -12MM offset. Backspace is 4" on these 16x8's. I have had the truck off road a few times and haven't noticed any rubbing. Certainly no rubbing while running around town. Bummed that I worked through my Dad's estate over the summer and never ran across any hubcaps. I'll have to find some elsewhere.

Appreciate the feedback folks. I just joined this community and people have already been super helpful.
I ended up pulling the trigger on some 17x9 -12 offset American Racing Bajas and some 285/75 tires. After yalls feedback and a bunch of looking around, it def sounds like I’ll be glad to have that little extra offset. I was having trouble deciding between 16s and 17s but I like the look of a little less sidewall and it ended up working best for how I wanted everything else to look as well but I know it’s not traditional. Hopefully it looks good but either way glad to have this decision behind me…took forever. Thanks again for the responses!

You’re thinking about it backwards or using the wrong terminology I think.
A 10” wheel with -25mm offset (-1”) will have an (approx) 4” backspacing.
A 8” wheel with 0 offset will have an (approx) 4” backspacing.

Your new tires are 30mm narrower (about 1-1/4”) and slightly shorter.
So all things considered you’ll have about 3/4” more clearance to anything on the inside of the wheel than you had before. (Because of the smaller tire mostly)
And you’ll have more clearance on the outside as well. Most importantly where the front tires are closest at the rear of the fender lip when turning.

Those should work fine for clearance on the inside even though the tire is an inch taller than the 16s you were planning. You’ll have the same backspacing as the 16x8 O offset (approx). It won’t help clearing the fender when turning, but will be slightly better than your old wheels and tires.
