I am installing a new dual exhaust system on my stock '77 K10 to replace the swiss cheese straight pipe. I am also installing long tube headers. I have the passenger side header bolted in and the collector flange is touching the driveshaft. Any tips on bending it to clear? I am reluctant to heat it much because the header is ceramic coated.

Going the wrong way. Single with a Magnaflow torque master will deliver more low end for off roading than a sheet hotrod set up. I had what you are building. I ripped it all off and have low end power up the wah zoo.

I agree 100% with Fred. And, I'll add the Hooker Cast manifolds are even better. But, I doubt the OP is going to change course at this point if he's spent big bucks on Ceramic Coated Long Tubers.

What brand headers are hitting the driveshaft? I've owned many and the driveshaft is not a clearance issue I've ever had.

I used the ceramic Headman long tube headers and they fit very well. I also used the Walker exhaust kit and it all fit nicely. I just replaced the connectors with some better quality ones.
I had to use the Headman headers because they were the only ones with the AIR tubes and were CARB certified. (At least, what I could find).

Summit branded parts are usually very poor quality. I have had luck using a ratchet strap to pull on headers to move them around. Just beware that the shaft will move around in every direction, not just up and down.
