Trans mount is seeing a spacer made up ...
Going from a TH 400 Oem 4x4 adapter to a 4L85 4x4 needed 4.6" more leg ..

This OEM big honkin adapter, did the centering ring have to be machined down to fit the 4L trans?

If I had used the og TH 400 adapter on the 4L case machining would had been needed on the adapter in order to bolt onto the 4L trans case ..

Didn't use it, used the og GM 4L 4X4 adapter instead + the Canadian custom made adapter ...
No machining on my end was needed, it was Plug & Play ..

Made it to look like the transmission shifter, trans is shifted at the column .. Used a cut down to fit 1975 Cadillac column, did get the needed swing for having low gear ..

That shift knob looks busier than a cucumber in a women's prison!

It's soon to be replaced with a wooden knob ...

Wanting to match the dashboard ..

Going to see real soon how close I'll get to achieving that goal ?

Freaken dash is looking kind of busy ...
Didn't want to see anything hanging from under it ..
Although I did mount just two add-ons ... Three counting the electric brake controller ..

The overdrive pull handle is just along for the ride, doesn't have a function ... I had it chromed many years ago and nailed it under the dash just to keep old memories alive ...

Next to it is the air bag gauge/switch ..

Since the dash does look as busy as a two peckered dog, stuck the stand alone transmission controller in the glovebox ...

Being the controller has a trans temp readout on demand, mounted it on the sidewall of the box so it could be eyeballed when towing ...
