I finally gave up.

After waiting 18 months for my dash pad kit, I finally gave up and told USA1 to pound sand. What a frustrating experience. I should have done this months ago. Needless to say will NEVER place an order with USA1 again.

Once the refund clears I will be dash pad shopping again. Any recommendations are welcome!

Sorry, but couldn’t include a picture of the non-existent dash pad. lol

I went to order a kick panel vent door. Yeh it was only ~$30, but they wanted $40 for shipping (max 5 lbs shipping). Been off my list of vendors since.

Shoot
I paid $50 for a cup holder for these trucks. That sounds bad but still cheaper than most parts for classic cars.
But you’re right, seems all the parts houses have a pretty good markup on shipping. Can’t go down to the store and get them parts I spose.

Everybody I've talked to has liked our pads (we get them from Dashes Direct). Brian Harrison from Harrison's Rod Shop used one in the NSRA giveaway truck last year, pulled it out the box and dyed it without test fitting. He said it dropped right in the truck. I saw that truck at a couple events last year and the pad was perfect

Dashes direct is the major supplier to most vendors. To save money on shipping Summit and Jeg's. Might not have all colors listed. Call them they can get what you need.

Went through the USA1 experience as well. After months and months, it went from a promised delivery date to sometime down the road, never again.

edit,
I'll add, fit of DD pad wasn't very good in the left upper area of the cluster bezel. Had to trim the bezel. Still didn't fit all then well. Otherwise the grain, color, and fit everywhere else was equal to OEM.

We did LMC and again they use dashes direct and it had an imperfection on arrival, and LMC gave us a big refund and Easton was thrilled (his money) and you can’t see the imperfection so everyone was a winner. We did USA1 and was on that scam for about 8 months as well….

i asked Dashes Direct yesterday if they had the dash in any colors other than black. Their response?

“You can contact USA 1 Industries and they can dye the dash pad for you.”

I almost screamed........lol

Anyone here recover their old dashpad? Is that even possible? I assumed it has a metal frame underneath, maybe no?

I had a shop look at mine yesterday and the owner said he could re-cover it, but it would have visible seams. Don’t think I want that.

I bought the urethane dash made by Dashes Direct & it has a few fitment issues. I may sell it and buy the vinyl one instead. Hopefully, they fit better!
