82 K30 long bed. Sometimes my steering works just fine, and sometimes I cant hardly turn the steering wheel, seems like I get no assist from the hydro-boost. It's full, belt is good and not slipping. Any ideas would be helpful, thanks in advance.

The pump should supply hydraulic pressure to the brake unit. There's an accumulator (round can) on the unit that retains pressure for a few stops should the pump quit/belt slip/engine die. I'd flush the p/s fluid & make certain the belt is tight before I started replacing pumps & boosters tho.
