Do they offer those in an 1157 (round base) replacement?

Nice work on this thing! :D Love it! As a fellow cateye crew cab owner.. I'm following along for more inspiration for mine too ;) Keep up the good work.

Sidebar.. love to see that they improved the RP5-GM11 interface box and wiring kit! The one I installed in mine seems so flimsy, thin plastic, plugs were wobbly.. The new designed box looks much more sturdy. My Pioneer deck has been causing me a headache of issues with sometimes working, sometimes disconnecting from my phone, losing ability to recognize apple carplay.. Been wondering if it was a deck issue or maybe my old interface. May be needing to redo my double din setup too similar to what you did there.

Thanks! She's coming along nice, I must say.

Now that you say that, I remember the interface box being a little chincy feeling in the past. This one is very nice, feels very substantial. Like a home computer almost. Mine has only had an issue connecting to my phone one time but that was right after I'd had the battery unhooked. I think it was just a timing anomaly

Got it tinted with ceramic last Friday. This is the first time I've had dark-ish tint in a very long time, it's taking some getting used to lol

- 35% over the factory 20% on the rear doors
- 20% over the factory 20% on the rear window
- 20% on the front doors
- 5% strip on the windshield. When I replace the windshield next year, it'll get 50% on the whole thing with a 5% brow

Somewhere in the ever growing pile of "to be installed" boxes is a tailgate handle with a built in reverse camera lol

I also ordered the last few gaskets/odds and ends from RockAuto today. Found out they sell Melling chromoly pushrods cheaper than anybody else, $74 for a whole set of 7.4s. Then ordered a Truck Norris cam and springs from BTR. So by the end of the week, I should have everything for the reseal/cam swap.

Got all my stuff in from Quick Performance right before Xmas and the last few things for the engine reseal. 4.88s/Yukon Duragrip. Went with the BTR Truck Norris cam/springs after tons of research. Slightly rowdier than a pure “torque” cam, but should still drive well with the 4.88s. I’ll probably slip my 2800-3000 Circle D stall in while I’m there since it’s sitting on the shelf collecting dust and LS motors benefit from a stall, even stock engines.

Got started today on the gear install, got the rear end all torn down. Very happy with how clean everything was and how nice all the bearings/races were

The clamshell puller was a godsend @legopnuematic Kinda sketchy on the first pull but now that I’ve used it, I like it.

Got about 1/3 back toward putting it together. Got the ring gear on, the housing cleaned out really well and gasket surface prepped, just gotta press on the side bearings and make my setup bearings for the pinion. Hoping to button it back up Wednesday

Looking good.

Looks to be pretty clean inside the housing.

Yeah, it's super clean. Everything looks brand new, I could reuse the bearings/races if I wanted, they're so clean with so little wear. Not going to, but could
