Found this yesterday. Odometer said 85K and with the shape of the interior I would have to say it was original. Body looked liked it had sat outside and baked in the sun. Damn good shape on the inside.

I hate this ****.

Holy ****, and it's 4x4. I'd love to have that interior. This interior on my 91 Burb is that color blue but man oh man is it ever filthy. There is oil spilled in the floor boards it looks like, some rust stains where he had piles of keys and locks sitting on the floor, several cig burns in the carpet. I mean it can clean up and be a 7.5 of 10 rating and be presentable but it will never be nice. The seats are nice and the door panels will clean up to be nice but the carpet really should be replaced. I think I'd rather just replace it all with black rubber matt.

It really is a nice truck. I think it was someones hunting rig as there was still what appeared to be a gun rack in it. Now its in my garage :happy107:
It didnt even have a smell. Might have had something to do with someone taking the front doors. Still, its a shame.

Yeah, I noticed the gun rack on the left side rear glass. Cool, you at least got that. To bad someone didn't get the whole truck outta there.

Sooo today is SUPPOSED to be a special 'ME' day. Yeah Right !!!

But, since it's supposed to be 70 degrees and only a 20% chance of rain, and I haven't paid bills yet with the scrap funds, I think I just might go to Pull A Part and look for a couple things and make it a fun 'ME' day.

Since I have this OEM exhaust system with these quiet as hell mufflers I like that came off of the 350 in the 85 C20 that I just scrapped, the same exhaust system I have in the 86, now an 84 C20 with the 454, I'd like to find a right side manifold to go with the left one that I do have. And use that system on the 350 that's supposed to run pretty good out of that kid's 80 truck that I pulled the motor from.

So I want to find one of those type Right side exhaust manifolds, and I want to find a driveshaft out of a 73-76 (I've seen it in 77's too, not sure if it was OEM though) 3/4 ton that came OEM with a Th350 trans like the later year 1/2 tons had with the 9in tailshaft Th350. There is only like 3/4 of an inch difference in the 9in tail Th350 and 700r4 length, and both have the same output splines. By getting a driveshaft out of a 73-76 3/4 ton, I'm hoping it has the bigger U joint for the 14b Full Float which all the 3/4 tons had 73-76, and the bigger U joint at the yoke, and of course the yoke itself too. Hoping with only 3/4in difference in the Th350 and 700r4, that same driveshaft will work without mods for a 700r4. Ohh, and I need to look for a 700r4 TV cable bracket for a 350 intake too.

The 84 C20 Scottsdale Camper Special that is now actually my 86 C20 originally had a 350, Th400, 4.10 ratio rear end. I think I want to put that used mileage unknown 350, a 700r4 and swap that 3.21 ratio to a 4.10 and run that combo for awhile and see how it does. I have everything to do except the Right side exhaust manifold and the driveshaft. I want it to be a cheap swap and I don't want to butcher up any of the 454/Th400 components either so I can go back to it if I want, or use it in another truck. The 454 I really want in the K10 anyway.

Maybe if I can get away, it'll be my lucky day and I'll get off cheap and find these 2 items.

Friggin overcast today. It's not cold, but certainly not a real nice day. I don't think I'll make it after all. Never know I might. Gotta finish this shipping and get these parts on the way. Maybe it'll burn off by then and I'll go anyway.

Are you going to use those exhaust manifold gaskets?

Naww, ended up not going. By the time I got everything boxed and shipped today, then it started looking like rain and the wind started picking up so I blew it off. I started working on the head for the Burb. I think it's going to have to go to the machine for vatting. It's just to damn dirty. Big difference now, but still long way to go.

PHUK YOU PAP OKC !!! I went there today. Of all the damn trucks, Only 4 squares, a 76's an 81, an 85 and and 87. All totally ****** ransacked. Only 1 had a ****** bed, the 85 was even missing the cab and front clip. I was like :wtf: Where are all the squares. So when I get inside on my way out, I asked, what are you guys paying for Squarebody trucks. Guy says, I don't know but he does why? I said cuz you don't have any but when I drive by the scapper I see them lined up going over the scale. The other guys says, we about $400. I said Oh OK, so that's not the problem.

But, for ***** and giggles I called them in the parking lot asking what they'd pay for my 91 Burb. She asks, what's wrong with it. Blown head gaskets, I can drive it in if you want. She asks about the glass, the body panels and rust, if radiator, battery and Cat are still on it. I again, YES MAMM, It's 100% complete and running, it just overheats after about 10 minutes of driving cuz it has a bad head gasket. She asks, 2wd or 4wd? I said 2WD, Ok, IF YOU DRIVE IT IN, we can pay $200. I about **** a ****** brick and asked, Are you kididng me? The guy at the counter just said you guys are paying $400 for trucks. She said 92 and up Chevy truck we are. No wonder there were ass loads of GMT400's, and not a damn one of those had a TBI unit on it. So I explained why I was pissed and that are going over the scales like crazy and not damn wonder why, the scrappers are even paying $300 for them and they're making $150-$200 towing them over the scale. She apologized then I said, no sense in me going back there again. If there are no damn squares I won't waste my time anymore. If they pick it up, they only pay $150. :flipthebird: Phuk you PAP !!!

There are five SB waiting to go into the yard at the wrecker near me (55 miles away) I'm heading there around noon tomorrow. Hopefully it warms up enough to not need a snow mobile suit..
