New shocks helped a little, not making it softer but more controlled rebound I suppose.Yeah, it’s gonna ride like a lawn tractor.
Which brings up another point, @mxer147, weight under the hood.
I have a big block with AC and before I ever jacked the truck up (I never jacked up the front end by the frame until I measured for shocks last fall), I would have sworn there wasn’t much dead static load sag in the springs. But it was easily 2+” of sag. Maybe 3”.
If you have a small block no AC and stiff lift springs your truck may sit an inch or so higher than mine.
