Heater worked great now no air flow.

Ok so that ground that you high lighted yellow could have gotten obstructed some how?

Yessss! Finally, you get it.

Even easier way to check the ground as the issue:

Hook the power to the fan up as normal.

Go in and turn the key on and set the fan to high (or low, med, it doesn't matter)

Take a jumper (the one you used to supply power from the battery is good) and make a connection from the fan casing to any good ground point.

Be sure the point of connection - on both ends of the jumper - is paint/rust free.

If the fan starts - make a good permanent grounding wire from the metal fan casing to the body.

Could this be the problem? It goes into the metal tube that the ground is grounded with. Then it goes to the power terminal tab on the motor.

Maybe. Try twisting and bending the wire in the area of the broken insulation. If it comes apart in your hands ... that might have been the problem.

Yo really should bench test the blower (either one) using a good battery or a battery charger. If the fan works 100% of the time on the bench, the problem is in the truck's wiring.

First - since you have been doing a lot of work on the blower circuit and I'm pretty sure you did not de-energize prior to starting - check the heater fuse.

Very often the fuse gets blown during repairs and is overlooked as a possible cause when the component doesn't start. All it takes is for the hot wire to contact ground for a fraction of a second and - poof - no more power. The little spark it makes can go unnoticed.

What the hell is that resistor/capacitor looking thing in the power wire mounted on top of the ground wire? That supposed to be part of the wiring?

That cylindrically shaped object wired in line with the power to the blower is an RFI (radio frequency interference) filter. It is, as 89Sub suggests, a capacitor.

It can go bad in stages.

So if everything else checks out as okay - and you are still getting intermitent power to the blower - by all means, cut it out. You can either run a new lead from the resistor stack or just splice the wires that lead into and out of it.

A couple of images showing fuse location and power from the fuse block to the blower switch:

So i can cut that out? Im gonna check the fuse cause now theres no power at the blower motor terminal.
