Negative.

If it helps, the small end is exactly .200" in diameter.

So, here's the concept. You are trying to machine a piece based on a drawing that says you need to drill a hole 1.250" from the side of the piece. Well, how do you know where the edge is?

Since a picture is worth more than my explanation I'm going to use a video. Because it is a dynamic measuring instrument it's much clearer in video.

Were getting down to the tough ones now. This one I suspect you will never get. (Just because there is not much to it, and its geometry really doesn't give much of a clue as to its specific purpose) -

Transmission pilot bearing driver?

I was also thinking straddle bearing (? the one that supports the pinion end in a 10.5" rear) driver, but it's probably too small for that.

A BTW, on that previous video:

With a mill that has .200 graduated dials (which would suggest a .200" edge finder) I usually set the dial at .100" when the edge finder pops so the center of the quill is at .000". Not sure why the guy in the video sets it at .000 and then resets it later. Seems like a way to introduce error.
