Well,
Thanks to all those nice "Welcome"s.
So...y'all want pictures.
I thought about putting some in the intro, but that really didn't smell of proper manners.
Therefore, let me ask a question. I see in my section a "album" for photos.
Can anyone pruse the photos I put in that album, or do I have to grant each individual permission?

Thanks for your reply and, Thanks again for the nice welcome.
If you want to start a build thread, you can put pics there. You can also attach pics to your intro. We are pic hoe's here so post lots...lol

Ok.
Thanks.
I will just do individual posts for what ever fix is/was cook'n.
A build thread can just be work done on it. That's how mine are. I never plan to restore them, just improve and maintain.

Welcome to GMSB.

Nice to see someone from North Coast here.

Just out of curiosity, and another one of your posts kind of suggested it, is your truck right-hand drive, or are most of the vehicles around you being driven on the wrong side of the road?

We drive on the right side of the road.
However, lately there has been a trend to drive down the middle while one manipulates their crotch.

I have no desire to do any restoration, per si.
Just maintain and improve the creature comforts.
That is all that I post in my car and truck threads here.
Just gives us all something to look over and to give feedback.

And a library of things done. I have forgotten I did something until I went back to an old thread just for the fun of it, and went "OH YEAH!, I completely forgot about doing that!"

I want to know more about this Zebart stuff that you easterners have to deal with to keep your vehicles from rotting to pieces.

Our daily driver 1995 Suburban is driven all year round and has zero rust on it.
And it has lived outside in the driveway for the 21 years we have owned it.

Ziebart is a company that provides coatings to protect metaland paint.
Tuff Coat is/was another company. There were a few others.
The undercoating stuff is like cosomoline on steroids, Redbull and Mountian Dew.

Funny thing, my other truck, 01" Tacoma was part of a recall for frame failures due to rust-thru and I got a new frame replacememt. However, if I had gotten the truck undercoated, it would of disqualified it for the recall replacement.
Now, I just oil spray my taco with old motor oil.

Howdy neighbor! I'm down in the central/southwest part of the state.

To those not familiar with it, Zeibart is similar to Rusty Jones and a few other places that were popular in the 80's and early 90's for "rust-proofing" your car. They seemed to to a better job with trucks, but on a car... they'd basically drill holes in your rockers and doors to spray their special coating into, then also coat most of the undercarriage and the entire underhood/strut tower area. But everywhere that would typically rust, like lower fenders, quarter panels and wheel arches generally went unprotected and would rust as usual. So you would end up with a car that had unsightly plugged holes in the jambs, a goo slathered all over the strut towers, and it would still rust out like every other car in the area.
