May be replacing the ball joints on it. Currently have Moog on them that are ~7 yrs old if I had to guess. My noise may not be ball joints, just trying to plan ahead.

Question is, what brands are good? I've read that Moog has fallen off in quality. Dana's are only $5 more per joint higher than moog.

I did see that someone has them with the grease fitting on the side, no idea of the brand.

I'm seeing these brands on RA:

Dana (~$25)
Mevotech
Delphi
AC Delco
Moog (~$20)

Thanks In Advance

Moog "Problem Solvers" and Mevotech TTX stuff is great. The Moog Problem Solvers aren't always listed like that. Sometimes they say "metal gusher bearing". Been a while since I've even seen the plastic bushing Moogs. I have personal experience with both balljoints. I usually end up with Moog parts because I don't plan ahead. Those are pretty much always available locally for me. IMHO, stay away from plastic bushings where possible.

Looks Moog problem solvers have the grease fitting on the side.
New moogs have the fitting on the side for the top ball joint. 4wd. Very handy.

whatever brand you decide on, remember to flush them with new grease to get any leftover manufacturing debris moved out.

I've used Moog steering and suspension parts on my last three project vehicles. Never had a problem with any of them. My current truck has >15 year old Moog ball joints, Pitman arm, idler arm, and tie rod ends. Things are still tight as a drum.

I do know they are manufactured in several plants around the world, but I assume those are actually Moog plants, not no-name low-cost bidders, like the crap you see on Amazon and parts sold by some companies whose initials are similar to CCP.

I'll still run moog. But I did have a pitman arm stop taking grease and one of my balljoints seems kind of loose already. I do have big tires, the ball joint was under 10,000 though. Haven't checked it recently.
