Would the mid 90's bucket seats be the same way? I have some from a 98 and just wondered if they were made the same at the 99-06 seats?

The mods would be similar I'm sure but the two generations are completely different seats. I can't give you specifics because I've tried not to put that particular seat in a square body.

I like them :) the reason I chose the seats that I did was because I wanted the integrated seat belts. I think the buckets out of the gmt400's are comfy though :)

Looks like I will be tackling this mod on my 87 v20. Any tips?

Measure 1000 times and cut once :) When done right it'll look stock.

These are what I ended up with. One came from an 06 the other 2 from an 05. Looks like I'll be following the gas tank relocation thread as well!

Look good. Are you going to keep them cloth or wrap them in a leather kit of some sort?

Makes sense to me. There's a part of me that wishes I'd gotten a leather kit before installing mine but I'm not going to take them out to do that now :) The only thing that'd bug me about yours is that one seat has a fold out arm rest and the other one doesn't. In the end you'll find these seats much more comfortable than the stock bench.

It's been a while but I want to say 16 gauge. Where the bolt holes are I doubled up the metal on with a strip of metal all the way down that section of floor probably about 2" wide or so.

you know when I was doing this I really wish I would have taken the steps to create a kit for this conversion. I probably could have made some money on the kit. You live and learn I guess.
