No....I just dont like them.
Do you plan to go to the hood squirters. I imagine a electric pump in good shape those would be OK but you would be left with an aftermarket kind unless there is a spot where you could fish one to get a shot on windshield

Dorman 42631 is Ford - picture shows spline type but spec says splines+flange nut - J-hook - Length: 21.75 IN

My '84 C-20 arm is only 15" - interesting Dorman does not list an arm for it

dorman # 42591 and 42630 are what I found, both are 18 inches long I looked at the pics and both are spline push on type, but no mention of the spline diameter. My GMC has .61 size spline.

these are for a Jeep, and a ford, neither had wet arm stuff, both were hook ends, I went on the dorman website and searched windshield wiper arms. at 18 inches they might work. I would have to switch to cowl squirters but not a big deal for me

DORMAN 42631 is for a Jeep i think, minor modifications allow it to use a j hook and someone used 18 inch wipers and they worked ok
I saw this and got some 42631s and paired them with Trico 25-180 (18") but the wiper arms don't have enough oomph to hold the blade flat.

This did not work for me. I'll go bend the arm I guess.

I'm bringing up this post from the grave a bit.

Auroragirl mentions the jeep wiper splines fit.

Also, @AuroraGirl , in your picture the ?Ford? Wipers do look bigger, but don't appear to interefere, unless the picture is misleading.

I've got the bayonet arms on my 82 burb, and if you look at em wrong the wiper blades fall off.
I dont mind the cowl squirters, my pump pushes enough to make me happy..but we got nailed by 2 snowstorms back to back, and I'm just needing a wiper that stay on. Anything J hook would work.

I've heard some jeep ones fit..just want to be sure of the year that will fit!

Also *edit*

Someone mentioned years 87 n up use J hook wipers. I took a gander on amazon, not sure of its a certain model of 87 n up, coz all i can see os the button wiper arms.which are also known for wiper blades falling off.

i had a 1/2 pick up that used J hook and never had an issue so, big supporter of those.

Cheers and happy resurrection of the thread!

GMT400 wiper arms dont fit on squares iirc , the size is either different or they retain with a nut

The Ford i showed (the blue wiper arm) is from a 1996 f150, which is the same all the way back to 87 at least for ford, maybe 1980 but i cant confirm that

The 1985 or whatever GM wiper arms, as seen on my square (with the brown hood) is better for retaining, you just need a wiper which has a lock mechanism that snaps down ove the post once its slid in. IF a wiper has the hole in the side of the frame (I would NOT use the beam style for this, the pressure they move toward the windshield may overpower an old square motor /linkage or just make fitment harder, since the windshield is so flat you dont need that articulation

so if the old frame style wipers have 2 holes in the side most likely work
I forget if its the bigger or smaller kind

I thought the 90's chevs would have the right splines but they don't, at least the late 90's don't. I got the 85-86 pin/post style, they don't flip up which is what I want also but haven't found one yet. But I've never had issues like the old pin/bump style.

They have the washer nozzles on the arms but I would recommend keeping the cowl nozzles. They work better imo. I also upgraded to the 85 washer tank and pump.

are you talking about because it takes time to get the wiper arm ones to function?
Because if so, that is because you need to put a check valve in the system

But if you mean just how it goes on the windshield, may have been the sprayer quality.
On my gmt800 the arms have the sprayer like the late 80s one, it works good but the squirters coming from under the hood on the older trucks before 81, i can see snow packing that easy
But where do the 81+ hood squirters sit?

Also, apparently the ford wiper arm is incredibly easy to shorten
Shortening it would be the perfect thing, because the aftermarket ones or ford OEM (still made) with J hook!) they come flat black and they hold the blade to the right angle on the f150windshield, which is pretty similar to the square.
The arm without mod would need a slightly shorter blade, if someone could live with lower wiped area on the bottom of windshield and possibly in the center, it may work

I have that blue one no longer on my f150 , its replaced with a proper arm thats not bent like that one. so i can use the blue one to see if it fits tight on the gm wiper post
