Filling a k10 wheel well, best wheel to tire ratio

Tough looking truck brother.
It looks like all the cool kids are staying in the 15, 16 in wheel range.

I think if your wanting the tall and skinny look a 12.5" wide might be too much. Once I wear out these tires I'm planning on going to 305x70r16 still keep the near 33 tall yet a bit skinnier then the 12.5s. Your wheel width will also play in a little.

Fireturck's 33x10.5 above look really good for a stock height setup.

Here a picture of mine with the 33x12.5 0n 16.5s truck has 2" or so of lift.

Second picture is the same truck with 265x75x16 (summer tires for now) definately look a bit goofy compared to the 33s.

I'm not sure if the year differences make an impact on this or not. Probably it being a k20 makes a difference.. forgot to mention that.

I run 33x12.5r15 on my 82 K5 with a 3 inch lift. No rubbing with AT or MT tires. I've had both on there.

Still partial to the round eyes, but that 80 Chevy grille with the squircles sure looks good !!

79 and 80 share the same grill. A 79 would have round eyes unless changed by the owner. 80 is the only year for the squircle.

at stock ride height, and they kinda look silly IMO. I'd like to fill the wheel well a little more, and I like the taller, thinner tire look. Plus I'm hoping to get a little better mpg out of the thinner tire.
From what I've read, 33 inches is the max my wheel well can fit without modifications, so I found a couple different wheel/tire options I could go with.
I'd like to see some pictures if possible, and hear some opinions, of different wheel sizes with tires that fill my wheel well.

Here’s 35 12.5 15 ( photo from another member ) this size would probably work on your truck since your front appears to be lifted. You could level it with a 2” rear lift ?

Amazing how that works - 33 x 12.50 x 15 Kumho Road Venture M/T with a 4 inch lift and I hear rubbing on tight turns.

Not sure where, but it does.

Yes , Big Brodozer rims in most of our opinions don't look good on these trucks .

79 shared the same trim type rings just had round headlights. The same headlight trim fit the 80s without the square headlights which there were some made. Non Silverados and the special sport package were only ones that got the squares.

Nope 80 is a one off year. It's the only year with the egg crate small square opening grill. Now they bolt up to each other yes.

I have 1.5-2 inches of lift I believe, maybe a 3 inch block in back, I need to measure it.

I am running 33x12.50x15 on the factory rallies and I have no rubbing. I have a set of summit trail climber at on when I bought it and they were same size with no rubbing.
