No thats actually what it should pull for vacume.
But today when i got home i ran vacume and hooked up a snap-on cylender delay again. And all cylenders reacted about the same.

So ive come to the conclusion that its just a really bad case of heat soak. Because there is no flow of air under the hood othan the radiator and fan. And we ran the fuel line alot like stock but not rested against the engine. Also i have an aluminum intake to try and keep temp down. But since theres no airflow. All its doing is heating up the carb.

Befor this heat weve been having(Also very humid), it ram fairly good. Its always had little bit of heat soak. But never this bad

Maybe a plastic carb spacer would help?

I would but clearences are tight with the factory hood. Right now i have mabey 1/2" clearence between the hood and my air cleaner.

Dad and i are thinking of mabey tunning a tube to get air up to the element.

If i added a spacer i would need a shorter filter(right now 14x2) and also run into carb clearence problems(element housing height off of carb)

Well everyone. What can go wrong, will go wrong. I wore a lobe out on my cam... ******* oils nowadays. Its not comletly dead but it definetly hinders performance. Its mabey half of the height it should be.... now it just has to make it till fall. I'll park it for winter and tear it all apart again. I also planned on painting it this winter.

This next cam is getting PLENTY of zinc. Im not gonna let this next one wear out in less than 1500 miles like this one.

For what the labor is, the cost of a new cam and better do lifters too, may as well just go roller and be done with it once in for all.

What size are those tires? Stuff like that is pretty cool just to have. About 10 years ago I picked up a set of nice 3-piece wheels w/tires for a whopping 60 bucks (ebay was awesome then). They are 16x10 with a 315/40 tire that you can't get anymore. I still have the set.

I gave 60 for the pair. And new they are 1600 each. Both tire sizes can still be gotten. They are porsche bolt pattern 5x130. So they won't bolt up to my monte sadly lol. I was told I should be able to get 1500 out of the pair selling them on a porsche site.

And mark. That looks like my grandma's monte. It's also an 87. But ours has a roller 350 in it.
