Is that the recirculating type? Or where does it go?

Yes, recirulating. To install, remove the block drain, (1/4" pipe thread) on the passenger side of the engine. 5/8" heater hose from the new fitting installed in the block drain to the lower fitting of the block heater (90 degree).

Cut the heater hose that goes to the top of the intake manifold. Install the "T". Top fitting on the block heater to that "T". Best to have the block heater inlet lower than engine block drain that feeds it.

The block heater has a check valve at the inlet so it will not effect normal heater hose flow.

You’re correct. Cummins use a grid heater instead of glow plugs. I don’t know if your reply was directed at me, I’m too lazy to go back and look at my comments. If I said glow plugs I’ll revise my statement.

If you had 2 block heaters and Tommy had 1 block heater and you sold 5 block heaters. CTFO haven't we told him all he needs to know about block heaters?

Don't make me derail this with another cat post.

From the "Great White North"
First time you crank the engine in -25c, which is a lot of the time up here in winter you will know the answer.
Spending hours and $$$ in mornings, freezing your butt trying to get some place, Sucks!
Where in Canada is Parksville?

They make high quality block heaters that replace frost plugs. It's a machined brass plug with an O ring. Stay away from the pressed steel type plugs.
When I lived and worked in the oil field in Saskatchewan I had to face minus 30C all the time. I had two frost plug type heaters plus and inline to the heater hose and an internal AC heater. I needed a 30amp plug to handle it all. Wired in a 110/220 timer to turn it on at 3am.
