Thanks. Can I search parts for a '77 K20 to buy the parts I need? Or is there a full kit that gives me the parts I need? I'm picking up a 14 bolt rear and want to match bolt patterns.

Your best bet is going to be finding a donor axle or a truck in a junkyard. The caliper brackets/backing plates are not "wear items" so you have to find them used.

Don't get hung up on the year of the axle. It just needs to have the right style of hubs.

My 1980 k25 has dana 44, and my 1977 k25 frame has d44, and my 1978 k10 has a d44, but its much skinnier tube and has a smaller axle shaft

K10 and K20 trucks used the same axle housings and shafts too. Iirc, a D44 has 2.75" axle tubes and the 10 bolt has 3" axle tubes.

maybe i dont have a d44 on one then? I recall there being 2 different spline counts and i purchased the wrong one, so i ended up using the spare in my 77 frame. and it looks skinnier on my k10. maybe its a 10 bolt?

I use a similar chart that is just a little different. I struggle to tell the difference between the cover on the 44 vs the 60 other than the more pronounced bulge for the ring gear.
