I figured I'd make a thread for this and those who want to participate. I think it's gonna a pretty cool thread.

Anyway it's an app you can get in your app store called Drag Racer for free and it automatically records you 0 to up to 70 speed and 1/4 mile time.

It doesn't matter what vehicle it is just describe it and post a screen shot of your speeds and times. It automatically shows the best time when your done.

Example;
82 c10 short bed 2wd
454, th350, 275/60/15
10 bolt 3.73 posi
Rv cam, Lt, intake

The times are terrible because from a dead stop it just spins and slides right until it grabs. I'll have to work at it. Maybe a good burnout before to get the tires hot. Plus I need to find a spot on the country road so I don't have traffic coming at the wrong time. I'm gonna do again this weekend because it was fun. Lol

I need to find a better place and then do my camaro too. Damit!! Wish I still had the SS!

Basically by the time I got to 60 it was at the 1/8 mile mark. Got some work to do with hook up in the rear lol

Hope to have some participation in this thread. I think it will because it's easy and fun to find out what cars or trucks get what numbers. I didn't run the square up very fast because I think I've never gone over 70 in it yet. Plus driving the 15 camaro every day it's a big difference in the way they handle. It's night and day. Soon as the 700r4 comes in I'll be driving the square more and more to get more acclimated to it.

Anyway I'll stfu and get outta here.

Posted again:

My 89 burb on stock everything.
Tune/chip, fueling, and ignition

When I flip to higher fuel pressure, 93 octane, and hotter ignition with a larger total timing, it would probably easily do more. I've been taking it easy since the engine bay fire and since gas costs so much ....

5.7, 700r4, 4.10, 31" tire

I'll do a second log with all the aforementioned changes sometime

Anyone have the app and has also run at the track? How accurate are these things?

Pretty good times. Traction control was on and in auto. I have the paddle shifters too b7t didn't try it. It broke loose a little but not bad from a stop but grabbed quick. Might try a couple different ways thus weekend.

While I was driving I compared the speedometer and they were the same. I mean it's accurate enough for me and if everyone is using it it'll be the same for everyone. Try it and see. I think you'll like it.

Being GPS there's probably a bit of lag which means you're probably a little quicker than it says but, I'm not sure. Still fun lol

I'll be honest I did notice my truck speedo was a little quicker than the app..... but...... that might be my fault ?

But I do have poor signal here

I'll definitely try it when I get home in a few weeks. For right now, it won't be fun with the company truck. It's an '09 C-6500 that does a 1/4 mile faster than it gets to 60mph.

That's what is cool about this. We'll see how all different vehicles will perform per the app lol

I was messing around with it today, and mine is way way off. Says I was doing 0-60 in like 30 seconds, but I counted, and it was about 11. When it said I was doing 30mph I was doing 70mph plus.
I got up to about 80 on the gauge, and said I hadn't made it to 50 yet.
It took forever to load and turn green, and after I came to a complete stop for many minutes it said i was still going 20.
Must be my service, but it doesnt work for me at all.
