There's a way to do it without bud :). You can try running without :) or just wire up a lil bulb and run it.

Has it been mentioned already that the CS130 and 144 are not direct bolt ins ?? They don't fit the stock SB brackets

@NOPHO84K30 All that great work you've done with the electrical upgrade can up in flames in no time if you don't get rid of that glass fuel filter. I've seen and heard of it to many times. They are cool and beneficial with the sight glass, but with engine vibrations, they are well known to come loose then you're spilling and pumping gas all over your engine at 4-7 lbs of pressure. Then all it takes if slightly defective plug wire boot or loose connection on any wire with a small arc and now you're truck is up in flames. The cheap ass disposable frosted white plastic ones are much safer.

Now, Back to regularly scheduled programming.

So with either factory or aftermarket intake it will be necessary to mod the intake bolt hole. I've found it necessary when using an aftermarket intake to mod The intake hole regardless if your using the stock alternator or not. You may end up having to cut the bolt hole open to mount the alternator bracket to the intake and use a couple flat washers.

So what is the difference in the cs130 alternator and the cs144 alternator? Which is better to have and are they both wired up the same way, such as installing them.

The 144 is supposed to be more reliable because of beefier internal components as well the 144 cranks out 20+ more amps then the 130

So the CS-144 is better over all?

Sweet. I'm looking into getting a new alternator as the bearings are squeeking in mine. How hard is it to wire up in a 88 suburban?

So from what I read online is the CS-130 alt and CS-144 use the same harness adapter. Is that true?
