I will say while at the yard I seen a few CS alternators with just one wire.

Well it would be nice to have pictures of this upgrade that doesn't look like someone hung upside down in the engine bay :p

Perhaps a direct front and left/right shot?

Well mine's a daily driver so before I post pics I'd have to clean up things and find the resistor I used. I don't mind but give me a few days or week cause I have two jobs.... :)

I am going to upgrade to cs144 , my ??? is I need the pigtail with the resistor . I hv a 1987 gmc r3500 with voltmeter

I'd get it just for insurance. Side note the plug from Orielys and a resistor is a lil cheaper. Either way tho...

Again if you like to idle low you will not be@ the "begin" charging set point. Otherwise this is a great mod

So one of the things I keep seeing about this is the sense wire which goes to the idiot light or the volt meter gauge.

How much different would wiring be or would it be different at all running a Ammeter?

LOL! Well that sounds like a challenge haha. Because I could pull the ammeter stuff out to use a volt gauge instead.
