Good to hear, when I got my steering box, the box it came in was beat all to hell so I tried to do a little better job packing than they did. I also hoped to find one of my boxes for ring & pinions but came up empty handed so I had to improvise lol. I'm thinking now I'll wait till this time next week (which will be the 1st of the month, new billing cycle) to order the x-over steering. Then all that will leave is the rear driveshaft! And a few small miscellaneous things here and there. Thanks again Andy.

I can get it corrected. What I did was deleted the posts based on pics. I seen gears and a tape measure and thought that was the one, not realizing you had 2 sets for sale. Next time I get in there, I'll delete it. So if you can still edit the post to Sold and remove the pics, how come you can't delete it too? I am not sure what you guys get as far as edit options and for how long. Some forums don't let you edit after 5 minutes. Do you not get the Delete this Post option when you got to Edit?

When you click Edit, there just isn't any Delete option under Additional Options or anywhere else. No biggie it should be good to go now.

On a side note if I don't get any bites on the 1/2 ton axles in the next couple weeks I'm gonna part them out. If anyone here shows any interest in any of the components post up! 3.73 gears (Motive front, Richmond rear), factory rear limited slip, open front diff, front & rear axleshafts. Good hubs/spindles, rotors, rear drums, covers, etc too.

Where is that ad for the 1/2 ton axles? I think m 85 GMC K1500 has 2 peg leggers in it. I like the 3.73 ratio for that truck, but I don't wan't peg leggers. I eventually intend to do something about that. I'd like to have a locker in the rear and a limited slip in the front. My other 85 K10, I want to be 3/4 ton axles of 4.10 or 4.56. I may up on a selling rampage soon. I think I'm about to cut down to just my 2 4x4's and part out the rest of the parts I have and then get me an eco car for daily driver. I think I'm also selling my box van. I've got to many vehicles. Sorry to muddy up and vent in your thread. Bummer your so damn far away. I might be interested in the 3.73 axles.

I was only running them in the local Ad Bulletin to try to sell them whole, but in a couple weeks I'm going to have to part them out. Dont worry bout muddying up my thread, it's all part of havin trucks!

Nope. when you click Edit all you have is Save, Go Advanced, or Cancel. I think only Mods and Admins get the Delete button.

OK time to try to get more truck fundage! I cant find the particular driveshaft I need at all, so I'm going to part the front and rear 1/2 ton axles out and probably have to buy the 3" tube to make my driveshaft longer (more expensive than cutting a LWB d-shaft down). Here's a list of parts to start with, and a ballpark value. I'll know more what they're worth once I get them out and clean them up. Everything will require buyer to pay shipping:

3.73 Motive Gear ring & pinion for 73-87 Chevy front Corporate 10-bolt axle: $40
3.73 Richmond Gear ring & pinion for 73-?? Chevy rear 12-bolt axle: $50
Factory Limited Slip posi for 73-?? Chevy rear 12-bolt axle: $30
Factory Open carrier, complete with sides & spider gears, for 73-87 Chevy Corporate 10-bolt front axle: $25

Front Axle Shafts-
Inner long side: $40
Inner short side: $30
1- brand new outer stub shaft: $40
Other outer stub shaft is in bad shape, not for sale except as a trail spare for cheap.
Any combo of above, or all, make offer!!
