Currently running 15x7 on the old chevy. No modifications to suspension, could I run some larger tires than the P235/75R15's i have on right now?

Larger as in taller, or wider?
I know you can go wider, from what others have said on here. Not certain about taller though, without modification to the inner fenders.

2wd or 4wd? With that size tire I assume it's 2wd. But if 4wd, for sure you can.

Even on 2wd I see many people saying they run 31's on factory rims.

My 2wd with saggy front coils is running 31x10.5x15 on factory 8" wide comfortably. It also has 265/75/16 on the rear on i think 7" or 8" rims and factory suspension but i have a big ten so that may make the back end higher due to heavier springs.

I'm running 31x10.5r15 on my Burb. Stock height plus a saggy rear plus an add a leaf. No rubs no problems.

With taller tires your speedometer will read low. Might want to google "TH350 speedometer gear chart" (or whatever trans you have) to determine what you need. More than likely you can get away with a new "driven" gear, which is easy to change.

There are several smart phone apps that will tell you your actual speed.

If 4wd 31x10.5 fit
That's factory size on a 4x4. Pretty sure you can run 33x12.50 without a problem on a 4x4. I see 265 75R15 ran on 2wd fairly often.
