23...Smiley...?
"Only the Shadow knows..."
And maybe the guy who did it....lol
And ya gotta figure he's around 80+ years old or better. Because the Vietnam draft had been in full swing and just ended a couple years earlier. And most kids of draft age had no interest in working in assembly lines. Gas stations and hamburger joints, sure. Assembly lines, not so much. In the mid to late 70's high schools had a 2 track program; college bound or blue collar. There were a number of government funded programs to replenish the skilled labor looking to retire from the WWII era. Few high school grads had any interest in blue collar. Most wanted to go to college and make the big money.
I know..kinda got side tracked just to speculate the "scribbler" was in his 30's...
Jokes aside, highlight with airbrush and label it what you want. Put a small emblem with GM "burp" quality, Hell it's Friday, Smiley....what not lol.

Honestly I've been kicking around a little "corner of the talegate" graphic...
The "Smiley" line art with a phrase, "We're goin to town boys!"
The significance of that is because the "Bonanza" badge was a marketing promotion from the TV show, Bonanza. And that line always got the Cartwright boys all fired up.

Eh...it's still on the drawing board...we'll see...
