I suspect it's from an automotive repair shop, 1940's to 1950's vintage based on it's style and construction, and the small number of parts bins.
I know there are at least two or three members here older than I am, and somebody might remember seeing one of these in the past.
I think it's really cool, and would love to find it a new home, but I am afraid to think what the shipping would cost.

@mtnmankev that's a really cool cabinet, but I don't know what or where or anything about it. Looks kinda familiar but I can't place it. No markings anywhere on it? Handles? is it a lockable piece? Where did you come up with that?....all kinds of questions ...NO answers....sorry

would probably charge a fortune to make it look new, but it would sure look great in somebody's garage.

Can't find any markings or stampings, and any labels are LONG gone.
Three of the doors, and the drawer are lockable, maybe I should dig through my old key collection to see if I have any that work it.
It was given to me by an old time friend a couple years ago when he was cleaning up his square mile of land to sell some 300+ acres parcels.

That MAY be a carb rebuild cart.
That guy in Vegas WOULD charge a fortune. I've seen that show. I don't care for how he treats customers. That's as nice as I can put it.

That does make sense.
The bins are about the right size for carb kit packages, and way too big for points & condensers.

I wish you would have posted this a week ago when I was down in AZ with an empty trailer!

My guess would be a tune-up cart. Small bins for points and condensers. Larger bin for caps and rotors. Last bin for spark plugs. You would have your meters on the top and the large side bin has a hook for the meter cables.

The small drawer for tune-up tools. When your done with the meters, back they go in the large bin. Then the cart could be a work station for brake work or whatever.

@Rusty Nail Meters: volt/amp and can you say tach/dwell?

Me too, I have been wanting to get rid of it for a while now, but have been busy doing other things.
@Big Chip If you would have driven the road to my place, it would be an experience you never forget and it's guaranteed to make you say words you would never say ordinarily.

There was a 1930's battery charger I almost drove to Cleveland to get. Weather was bad and the ad expired before I could follow up. Was very art deco and 6v only but most of its innards were missing. Would have been great to fit some newer stuff inside that classic cabinet.

I don't know why, but it reminds me of a spark plug cleaning/ testing cart.

You need it to go to a new home? I'm in Show Low, not too far away!

When I got it, I was sure I would do something with it, but things have changed since then.
I have been cleaning up my property getting rid of stuff I don't need, and don't want to leave the executor of my will with a huge mess to clean up.
It'll be a heavy enough burden as it is.
