Wow, the guy who wrote the offer is good enough to write speeches for Brandon. Chevrolet (and GMC Truck) made thousands of these 9' monsters, and a lot more than 17 were produced in 1950. This series of one tons was a standard catalog offering from 1939 thru 1965.

I can get then for between $50 and $100 around here. And they're everywhere. My junkyard has about 6 in a pile in the transmisison shed.

Yeah, I've got a half dozen or more out at the cattle ranch. I stopped buying them for $25 or thereabouts when I got too old and couldn't lift them anymore.
