This guy obviusly don't know **** about his truck. This might even be a female. So it's got an SM465 not a Turbo 250, doesn't know the lift kit, I bet it's not a 383 either, he's just talking **** cuz he's heard it said before and ratchet type locker is NOT a detroit locker. I have a feeling it's a junk ass Gov-Lok. :idiot:

The d60 started in '77 and every crew cab I've seen from that point on has been a C20, C30, or K30. Only K20 crew cabs I've seen were '76 or older and had a d44 front axle. Really pretty rare to see one of those.

That's right, I wasn't even thninking year model. But I do wonder, would a 3/4 ton 4x4 Crew have a D60 or D44/10b since it's on a 1 ton frame.

Blahh, someday I wan't a D60. Wayyy down the road though, and I'm hoping it'll be in a K5 or a Burb. And I won't be paying no $1000 for it either. Just gonna have to keep eyes and ears open.

I could have got a 4.10 ratio D60 for $500 once. It only had 40K on it and it was a SRW to boot. I was stupid for not buying it.

Yepper you were, or better said, didn't know any better at the time. I'd consider $500 a good price. I'd imagine I'll end up acquiring one someday from a complete truck or rolling chassis purchase. The guys selling D60's as stand alone, know there is a sucker that will pay $1000 a for one. I was thinking of maybe even trying to find a CUCV for $3000 or so and have the Gear Ratio I wanted, then part out the rest of it, but then again, I'd probably like the truck so much I'd just swap my A833 into the CUCV and rock with it. Talk about some mpg. 6.2 with A833 and 4.56 gears. That would be an awesome mpg como on stock size tires.

I sold my D60/14ff combo fairly cheap, $800 IIRC. It was 4.10 SRW too.

Damn, yeah you did. Occasionally, I'll see a SRW D60/14FF for $1000-$1200.

Body is rough as hell, and appears to have quite a bit of rust. But, for any truck that runs good and if you want fall through the floor pan is certainly worth $700 if the title is good clean and tag up to date. Some guys pay a fortune catching up back tags and penalties, like in CA for example.

taxes for these trucks are nothing only $6.00 a year plus registration and tags plates cost $15.00 from standard up to 30,000 pound or farm plate.

plus YOU are required yearly to pay them when you renew your tags and registration yearly.even if you drive something else and leave your other vehical parked and never drive it you must pay taxes and registration for it otherwise they will not give you your registration for your DD
