Nice truck. To bad, no AC. That would make a good truck for a scrapper. No hydraulics to go bad or leak. Just need a winch and good ramps. I thought of converting my box van to something like that, but it would look to redneckish and believe it or not, I don't do redneckish on my vehicles. Maybe to get home with a patch, but that's it. Redenck enginuity does pay off.

Someone got a killer deal. A married set like that, I'd have taken no less than $250 and actually would have preferred $300. That adapter alone between the 2 goes for $150. It still worked out for me, since it was technically free after I used other parts, but I screwed up and sold an SM465 for $50. I didn't mind selling the SM465 cheap, but I forgot to get the adapter off of it. I could have gotten an Easy $100 for the adapter, or sold it here to a member for $50.

At any rate, you can feel good about it. I've slutted parts out before too, just to help a guy out that I didn't even know and I had already made my money on other stuff, so sold it cheap to get him back on the road and back to work. Believe it or not, **** like that comes back around two fold.

Yeah, he was a pretty cool guy, and to be honest ive been listing them both for as low as 50 each and nobody wanted it. so when i put up best offer and he said 160, i was happy... he's building a big ass 8? burb lifted with 35s so im happy to see it go to a good home. When i get the fenders, axles and bed sold, the truck will have been free to me, may even make a few bucks.

so if anyone needs anything off of an 82 gmc let me know.
motor, trans, xcase are gone. the rest is there. anyone know what the axles are worth?

Kinda depends what they are. Usually 10 bolt 3.08 or 2.73's I get $100 for. For the front same ratio, $125 unless they are buying both then I'd do $200 for the pair. If it's a 12 bolt with a good ratio, like 3.73 or 4.10, it's easy to get $150 cuz people think the 12 bolt is stronger, same with a Dana 44, go for $150.

Exaclty, obviously a 4wd. half or 3/4 ton? Long or short bed? What trim level?? HIgh Sierra or Sierra Classic, etc?

1/2 ton long bed, high sierra... 100 each sounds pretty good to me! ill be 40 bucks away from a free truck with front clip, cab, and bed still left over....

Ill have to find out what the gears are, i think its a 12 bolt but ill have to double check.

thanks for the info
