No doubt it's worth it, I'd just feel better with $600. I nornally like bells and whistles too like PW, PL, Cruise, etc, but for what I'd want a K5 for, I think I can do without the Silverado package and hope for a rubber floor mat. I actually like rubber floor mat over carpet even in th Silverados. That makes 2 K5's I've seen on CL in the last 2 days that were worth getting. Not close to me though.

Silverados didn't come standard with power options and you also didn't have to have the Silverado trim to get power options. It could very well have the power stuff and a rubber floor... why don't you give them a call?

Yeah, that's my deal is that I would want to take my wife and kid with me when I go play in the mud or snow. Sure you can cram two adults and a child in a reg cab but there's no room for anything else. What if we had another kid? What if my buddies want to come along? What if, What if...There's just more room in Blazers and Suburbans.

I emailed the guy for ***** and giggles and asked what he needs the 700r4 built for and how strong does he want it built, and then asked about the truck and if its a good title, and no response as of yet. I sent that yesterday as soon as C4 posted it. I have a buddy in FL that has biz to take care of up the coast, if he'd look at it for me and get it.... Then I'd go visit him in FL and pick it up someday. But no response to email, and may not be worth all that. Just depnds if my buddy his taking his trailer loaded up the coast and coming back to FL empty.

I know that, but generally as a rule of them in the mid 80's it seems the Silvys are loaded up pretty good with the basics I want, PL/PW, Cruise and AC. I have also seen some nicely featured Scottsdales and they had a rubber mat which I liked. I do like the 4 Silvy headlights better too. The Silverado, Scottsdale, Custom Deluxe etc, were basically just trim packages, not necessarily features.

This is exactly why I am trimming back on my projects. I don't need 4 standard cabs. I'd have to caravan and have 4 drivers for all 4 trucks to take anyone with me. That's all fine and dandy if I were married and had a mother in law, but I don't. I kinda love my family, so I want a Blazer or Burb Fo buh Fo. Still gonna have the truck though to raise hell with. So Im hoping !!!
