yeah for $700, I'da bought it too. 4x4 K20's are not easy to come by. Body parts can be found anywhere, but that drivetrain can't.

he has another gear shifter 4x4 3/4??? How much???

Why won't a shifter truck work for your project? You already have your trans and tcase right??? All you'd have to do is swap out pedals and crossmembers right? Maybe steering columns to do it right. If you get a good deal on a shifter 4x4 K20, get that bitch. We can swap pedals and columns out of our trucks. I'd love to have a shifter in the 85K10 project.

The Crossmember is not any big deal, I will probably have to make or remake one of those anyway.
The pedals, Columb, and linkage are the big things, Mainly the linkage with the little balled end bracket that bolts to the top of the Frame.

I doubt you'll have to make a crossmeber either. No matter which way you go, Th400 and 4L80-E use the same crossmember, and 700r4 and 4L60-E do too. Crossmember matches the Tcase anyway, not the trans on a fobafo. Yeah to use the OEM column linkage you'd want that part, but I bet it can be had off a donor truck real easy. Myself, perosnally, I'd like to have a manual column and run a Quicksilver floor shifter. Not sure it could be retrofitted for an -E trans though.

to remove the pan on a 4L80E you have to take the crossmember off so thats why i will more then likely remake the crossmember. I could use an aftermarket shifter but honestly I want the factory on the columb.

I tried to call him back again but no answare last time i talked to him he said he didnt have any pictures of it and wasnt sure what year it was he thought it was and 85 but wasnt sure so gotta find out if its even got a title. Plus i want pictures before I drive 3 hours

Even on 4x4 with a Tcase hanging off the back? You still have to remove the cmember??? The cmember should bolt to the Tcase mount and be back far enough.
Sounds like it must be a real piece of **** if he doesn't know anything about it. Probably been sitting for humpteen thirty years and rotted away.
