Damn. Your right. Those spider injectors are dog ****, arent they?

They are good as far as reliabilty, but doesn't leave any room for modification or bigger injectors. You can increase all the flow you want, but your only going to get the fuel that the injectors spit into the cylinders. The big block doesn't use a spider. It uses a rail. IF someone could retrofit a rail to the small block, then cool beans. There is a way to mod the small block though. Its just limited, and its using marine parts. So you have to go to a boat performance shop to get your parts. You might like that though. Boat parts on yoru truck to make it go faster.

I have a 1985 Chevrolet Celebrity
Asking $300 OBO
It runs, but not well. I have an intense disliking of all things GM after working at their call center and have no interest in trying to do anything with it.
Needs registration, inspection.
Has issues with power steering, vacuum leaks, carberator, the the driver doors need to be replaced because the handles broke, the passenger rear window needs to be replaced after I hit a dumpster. It has an oil leak, and the speedometer can be squirrely at low speeds. The windshield wiper controls are messed up as well. Interior isn't all that great either. h yeah, and two of the seat belts on the back seat do not work. The windshield is cracked.

NOt bad for someone interested in a S-10 Blazer. Never have been a fan of small trucks or SUV's.
Except for the fact I have a hard time fitting in them, no. I really need my leg room. And with gas prices going higher and higher, not much of a choice to see what's on the market. I wouldn't mind an 80's 4 door blazer, just as long as it's the SB design, I can't stand that newer rouned crap. I wouldn't mind having a FI 4 cyl either, something easier to fix in a weekend if something broke, like a head gasket. And I haven't had a manual trans in a while. A buddy of mine had a 2 door that had a 5 speed in it, but it was a V-6.

I do love to stretch out in my Burb though, and lay back while she swallows the highway up, love it.

Same here. I need room. My bro had an S-10. Him and I were shoulder to shoulder in that thing in the front seats. I felt claustraphobic. And honestly, I don't think small trucks get all that wonderful of fuel mileage either. I can only guess its cuz they are low geared and not aerodynamic, but If I am gonig to have to drive something small to make up some gas mileage, it better into the 30's close to 40mpg. I was wishing VW TDI's didn't hold their value so well. You can get a 2000 or 2001 to get like 50mpg. Even the newer VW diesels don't do that well. VW has gone backwards on mpg. As much as I hate it, my Yota Rolla got 42 mpg hwy at best going slow, but got 38mpg quite often, and 30 city all the time. I prolly shoulda kept it. It was made in USA, but still a *** car, so I wore a paper bag over my head and dark tinted windows in shame. But I was doing what I had to do. My tint was illegal, but being a Process Server/PI I was able to get by with it. I guess its OK to break the law when you are working for the courts. :flipthebird:
