Yep, in the Squarebodies, 91 in the only year. Which is a good thing cuz if you found a 91 in the junkyard set up for 4L80-E, then there you go. You now have parts to retrofit and earlier model. Crossmember, wiring harness, shift indicator and such. So all 91 Crew Cabs with Auto Trans, both single and dual rear wheel, even the 3/4 ton Crew Cab since it's a 1 ton frame too, will be 4L80-E, and then the 3/4 Burb in either 2 or 4 wheel drive. What's very elusive is the 91 1 ton 4x4 with the 4L80-E and the NP205 transfer case. But yep, for 91 only.

Hmmm. There's a burb I should probably take a peek under at the pap near my work. I was there sunday rescuing a very nice core support for my '87, and noticed a '89-'91 burb a couple trucks over. The body was completely rotted, so I didn't pay it much attention. Can't recall if it was a 3/4 though. Don't think I'll get to it this weekend though.

If you'd be wiling to pull a couple easy parts, let me know. You would have the thanks of a grateful nation.

Every time I come across a '91 K2500 Burb, they are always completely rotted out. Only decent ones I find are 2wd. Actually I know of one for a good price right now too and it's a 454 even, and although it can be a pain, I think it would be worth getting to 4x4 swap it.

They are out there and around, just very few.

This 91 sees the rotted out statement offensive

What did you need off from it? Not sure if I'll have a chance to get out to it this weekend, maybe Sunday. Depends if I end up hauling a frame home for my '87.

Need a black plastic mirror for the driver side I believe. These don't seem as common as the metal dumbos, but figure I check also the antenna and base if possible.

Please don't go out of your way but if you're there id appreciate it

I'll put a note in my list on my phone. Gonna try to get out there, but I'm going to look at a frame this weekend too, so I may end up trying to drag that home. I kinda want to grab the fenders off the burb I got the core support from anyway.

They're not as common, the power mirrors were 1990-91 only.

I thought there were manual black ones? Mine aren't Power in my truck but they might have just been cut.

Nope, no manual in that style on the squares. I'll bet that either the wires have been cut, or tucked away. I doubt anyone went through the trouble of putting the housing from an Astro or GMT-400 on a squarebody base, but it's possible as it's not all that difficult.

No kiddin...well thank you for the info! Pretty sure they're burb mirrors since the front clip is from a burb. May end up eventually wiring them up, but for now they're fine as manuals.

Could go one better and wire in heated, auto-dimming mirrors using the housings from a 1999-2000 SUV.
