IIRC, 440 3 Duece was the OEM set up for the SuperBird

I read that price as 17k, not 170k lol. That's why I said it was a scam. I know they aren't impossible to find, but they aren't just piled up in fence rows like Novas and Elcos. I can honestly say that in my 25 years I have never seen one in person. The only 6 pack car I can remember getting up close and personal with was a 70 challenger about 10 years ago. The good Mopar rigs always seem hard to find.

I've seen 3 before in one location before and they or at least 1 or 2 of them might have been clones. I was just driving by a burger joint where there happen to be a Nopawr, uhh I mean Mopar car get together. Had those birds, a few Cuda's, Road Chickens, Demons etc. Dodge actually did have some muscle cars models. Now that doesn't mean they were the fastest, but still pretty cool nonetheless. Of course the Hemi was no joke. Not much would beat that right out of the box. Because I like bigger cars, I'd probably own a 4 speed GTX if someone wanted to give it to me for dirt ass cheap.

Okay, yeah 440-4 barrel was the base engine. 170K is right in the range for a real one.

Only a 4-53, a 212ci engine in that big truck, even turbocharged it can't make that much power.

Wish you were closer :( I wouldn't mind having that bed and maybe even the doors assuming they may be OEM.

Likewise! I always hate dealing with craigslist, heh.

All GM sheet metal, btw. Shame it's not more practical to ship large heavy stuff.

oh good lord! :suicide: I would love to have some OEM doors. Mine are fine but they are definitely reproduction steel and OEM would just fit so much better!! :banghead: I'd like the bed to maybe do something different than what I've got going on right now with my bed  Oh well, hopefully they make it to a good home who can appreciate it.

It's like 700 miles from KC to Austin - less than 9 hours at 80 mph. If the prices are reasonable...don't wish and lament, just go for it.

Rent a 10' U-haul box truck. Pick it up Friday afternoon when you get out of work. Pull an all-nighter and drive down to Austin. In the morning load the parts and go.

You'll be back in MO late Saturday afternoon (with a clean fleetside bed and two OEM doors).

U-haul box trucks are a outstanding deal. I just turned in a 20 footer. They let me have it for 7 days with 300 free miles ($.29/mile over that). Base price for the 20' truck for 7 days/300 miles was $144. I used it (among other things) to pick up this 87 OEM/NOS cab:

I think they somehow undercharged me, but even so - you should check it out. I'll bet you could rent a 10 footer for about $300. And that's even paying for an extra 1000 miles - if you return it within 24 hours.
